Porsche won't start or run.........

Have you exhausted all possibilities as to why the vehicle won't start? Are you at the point of giving up? Are you convinced that the non-start problem is down to your DME failing? Are you looking to have your Porsche DME tested to eliminate that?

There are certain circuits within the DME that are prone to age related component failure. Their mode and point of failure can not be forecasted or predicted. The only thing that is guaranteed is that when this happens, it is very inconvient and it will leave you stranded.

We are able to offer a bench testing service for all Porsche L-Jetronic DME units (all Porsches built from 1982 to 1996). Folllowing the test, we can then confirm if the DME is functioning as per it's original specification.

If it has failed, we can also repair it. Using modern quality components, which far exceed the quality and reliabilty of those originally used by Bosch in the 80s and 90s we can rebuild and completely refurbish and remanufacture your DME unit.

Testing can be completed within 24 hours of receiving your DME. A complete repair can be completed with 48 hours.

Porsche running rough or has "flat spots" through the rev range

Mechanical air flow meters, i.e. those with a flap, are prone to wearing. Through normal use, bushes, bearing, spindles electrical wipers and tracks become worn. After all of those years of motoring "flat spots" in engine performance and responsivness can occur through the engine speed range

Ultimately, this normal wear and tear can result in your vehicle running either rich or lean which will have a noticable effect on performance. Furthermore this will directly effect your vehicle exhaust emissions and may have a detrimental performance effect on your catalyst.

We can offer a mechanical air flow meter testing service to confirm whether your air flow meter is operating to within its specification.

If it isn't then we can completely refurbish and remanufacture the unit.
