Postage & PackagingAll of our postage/courier charges are based on which ever is the greater between actual weight (in kg) or volumised weight (in kg). As the name suggests, volumised weight takes into account the dimensions of the overall parcel.
For Example :-
A starter motor has a packed weight of 10kg. The volumised weight of the starter motor in it's packaging (40cm x 30cm x 30cm) is 6kg. In this instance, the postage/shipping charge is based on weight i.e. 10kg.
A front wing has a packed weight of 15kg. The volumised weight of the wing in it's packaging (150cm x 100cm x 60cm) is 150kg. In this instance, the postage/shipping charge is based on volumised weight i.e. 150kg.
We are also able to offer a pallet delivery service within UK and Europe for larger and heavier items. Call us for more details.
Occasionally, you will find high value products (i.e. have a value greater than £35) on our websites that have a packaged weight less than 1kg. The standard UK Royal Mail Service does not provide any additional cover against loss or damage for these products and as such, they must be delivered using a fully tracked courier service.
